How can 10 days go by so fast? This is how…
Thursday, June 29 - Land at O’Hare at 10p, get picked up by Pat, head over to Kartik’s place on the north side of Chicago, go downstairs to chat over a few drinks at Hamilton’s.
Friday, June 30 - Help Kartik, Samp, and Chris (Kartik and Samp’s roomate) move into their apartment in Wrigleyville, actually get online to finish up some things for a big project at work, eat some good Thai food at Cozy’s, go out to Red Ivy with Kartik and Ali, meet up with Pat at SoPo’s, finish off with a giant pizza at Bacci’s.
Saturday, July 1 - Meet up with Bill and Jenny and caravan up to the Dells along with Samp, Kartik, and Ali. Check into our usual cabin at the Wilderness Resort and hit up the waterpark, meet up with Paula, Johnson, Drake, Obed, Zubal & Carly, Paul & Kari, Mick & Lori, Walter & Lauren, and Brenda & Travis, barbeque, party at the cabin as Candice & Greg, and Pat & Therese stroll in, perform recon at Marley’s with Ali, finish off at the cabin doing who knows what.
Sunday, July 2 - Hit up the waterpark again and tackle the Hurricane, Wavepool, and a bunch of waterslides, chow down on a smorgasbord of catered KFC grub, rock out an hour-of-power, take over Marley’s Club, finish off at the cabin doing who knows what.
Monday, July 3 - Eat bacon & syrup, Crash Mt. Olympus’ go karts and rollercoasters, play yard games at the cabin, join in on a round of circle-of-death, finish off being the first one to bed.
Tuesday, July 4 - Head on back to Chicago to Kartik and Samp’s place, take a nap, check in on work and get some more things done, eat more good Thai food from Cozy’s, watch Sin City and go to bed.
Wednesday, July 5 - Wake up and work some more, walk around Wrigleyville, go home to Plainfield to chill and eat dinner with the fam, go out to Gilberts with Paula and spend the night.
Thursday, July 6 - Meet up with Obed and Kerianne and head to the Taste of Chicago along with Paula, eat “Taste” portions of pad thai, hot dog, ribs, cheeseburger, and pizza, as well as a couple brewskis, watch Train play as Brenda, Mike, Jess, and Tara join us, detour to Mike and Jess’ apartment on Michigan Avenue and then head over to Moe’s Cantina where Kartik, Samp, Chris, and Drake join in on the party, slumber party at Drake’s.
Friday, July 7 - Wake up and see Paula off to Summerfest, head over to Kartik’s and finish up some work, meet up with Shelley (friend from high school) for lunch at Lucky’s, chill as Bill comes over to Kartik’s, go out to Cozy’s for some more Thai food, head out to John Barleycorn’s to kick off and fuel the night, end up at Central, get lost in Wrigleyville, finish off with another giant pizza at Bacci’s.
Saturday, July 8 - Wake up late, lounge around all day, take the train to O’Hare, meet up with Paula and the pups, catch flight back to the OC, go home and sleep a lot.
That is it, in a nutshell. Our annual reunion at the Dells with our best friends always goes by too fast! Paula has some great stories to tell, so hopefully she will post here soon…

This is a real neat way to keep all friends and family posted on what’s going on in your lives. That way you don’t have to answer to many phone calls.
I trust all is well. cK, I have never met you, but you appear to be a pretty damn good guy. Paula, I trust all is well. I was just talking with my Mom about the good old Gilberts days. Please tell your family I say hello, and wish them my best.
