Jess and Mike’s Wedding
So, I finally uploaded some pictures that Paula’s mom took at Jess and Mike’s wedding reception over Memorial Day Weekend (thanks Jeanne!).
I refuse to talk about our horrific experience with American Airlines. It still irks me to think about it…
The wedding ceremony was beautiful and fun to witness.. The Reverend was super-cool and created a light and relaxed atmosphere. At one point, the ceremony was interrupted by a loud cell-phone ringing and the Reverend turned to the audience and said…
“Go ahead and answer that… If it’s God, tell him I’m busy.”
The reception was even more fun. It was great to see all the girls - Candice, Brenda, Drake, and Johnson - who were all part of the wedding party with Paula. A lot of other guys and DeeGee girls who I hung out with a lot at school were also there… we ended up making plans with Lindsay, who now lives close to Paula family in Arizona, to join us for Thanksgiving!
Candice’s dad, Roger, was a big hit… her mom, Janet, was a lot of fun, too. I also met Drake and Brenda’s fabulous parents… drank a lot with Paula’s parents… it was, all in all, a great time! I hope there will be another opportunity to see them all together again.
The night before the wedding, I went out to a couple of clubs in downtown Chicago with my buddies - Kartik and Ali. We were joined by a few more friends that I have not seen in awhile… I will leave it at that.
