An Event Filled Year
Welcome to our website! My first post lands on the one-year anniversary of our home purchase! We closed on our condo on May 18, 2005. Wow… time has flown by!
So, we bought our condo in May… I also bought my Cobra that same month…
We rented back the condo for one month, so we had a couple weeks to pack up the apartment. We took about a week to quickly renovate and move in at the end of June. Luckily, my parents came out here during that time and my Dad helped me install the laminate wood flooring… Thanks Dad!…
Right after we moved in, we flew out to Chicago to catch up with our families and party it up at the Wisconsin Dells for our annual 4th of July reunion with our best friends…
In August, we had our first party at our new home which included our Chicago visitors - Candice and Jen, our California friends - Kevin, Kristina, and Greg, and our Australian friends - Adam, Amanda, and Matt…
We travelled halfway around the world to Australia in October… a week after we got back, I went up to Big Bear for our Annual Oktoberfest celebration with our California friends. Unfortunately, Paula couldn’t make it because she was sick…
Paula’s Mom came out to visit over Thanksgiving… also, at the end of November, my Chicago-now-Denver friend, Adam moved out here for a couple of months for his job…
My company sent me out to Chicago for a conference in December and I got to meet up with my friends… Back in the OC, Adam and I hung out almost every weekend and we surfed… My parents came out again for Christmas and New Years…
One of my oldest friends, Brian came out here to hang out with Adam and I over the transition into the new year… at the end of January, I flew out to Chicago again for my fraternity’s 40 year anniversary…
In February, I realized that there was a huge demand in the job market for experts in my field of work, so I went on a couple of interviews and ended up with five job offers…
In March, I started my new job with [company name withheld due to competitive nature of my position]…
In April, my company sent me out to Boston for a conference and I brought Paula and the dogs with…
Now, it is the end of May and we will be flying out to Chicago for a wedding that Paula is standing up in…
A lot of the things previously mentioned will need to be elaborated on - Australia, Big Bear, Boston, my Cobra 
- so we will be backtracking in some of our future posts…
